Curated by Simon Fennessy Corcoran Digital Slow Art Day @ The Hunt Museum, hosted an online experience of Slow Art Day so that it may be experience by anyone anywhere in the world, Five installations by Limerick artists: Hazel Egan | Siobhan Potter | Celeste Cubero | Dervla Mulcahy | Deirdre Power Slow Art Day is a global all-volunteer event with a simple mission: help more people discover for themselves the joy of looking at and loving art. Participants look at five works of art for 10 minutes each and then meet to talk about their experience. That’s it. Simple by design, the goal is to focus on the art and the art of seeing then discuss your experience in a relaxed and informal setting over a coffee in the Museum's Café. The goal is to focus on the art and the art of seeing. The Hunt museum for Slow Art Day this year took the opportunity to highlight the variety and talent of artists in/from Limerick and whom studied in Limerick with an open call, this one day exhibition aims to showcase Limerick’s talent and to support artists as best we can. This website will publish and run along side the exhibition in The Hunt Museum on the 11th of April hosting a 50 minuet video experience and high resolution images so anyone anywhere in the world can join in. There was 2 guided sessions for Slow Art Day at 11am and 2pm, and open to the public all day. |
